Stain. Well, they didn’t get the whole exterior painted like I had hoped, but they did make some significant progress on staining our porches’ ceilings. We have a lot of stainable wood on the ceilings of our front porch, back porch and side entry. Plus, they are going to be staining all of the exposed rafter tails and the tongue-and-groove that is inbetween the rafter tails.
It turned out a little darker than I had pictured in my mind, but I still really like it. It should lighten just a bit as it dries more, and they will be putting a semi-gloss coat on them, when should lighten it some as well. I’m thinking they will finish the rest of the stain today, and then finish the exterior paint by Friday.
